About

Originally from Michigan, I spent my late teens and most of my twenties in Southern California, where I struggled to find my place in the world. Before I chose to pursue development, I worked in customer support, and while it wasn't the most glamorous experience, it taught me a lot of interpersonal skills that have been invaluable in building my career. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

My vocation as a front-end developer was born of my passion for solving puzzles. That's all development is, really—identifying a series of conundrums and working out a methodology for how to solve them. When I'm not coding, I like to practice my artwork. There's an incomparable sense of satisfaction that comes with creating something that wasn't there before, and I try to apply that attitude to my work as a developer too.
